چکیده
The Azure Kinect, the successor of Kinect v1 and v2, is a depth sensor. In this paper we evaluate skeleton tracking abilities new sensor, namely accuracy precision (repeatability). Firstly, state technical features all three sensors, since want to put in context its previous versions. Then, present experimental results general obtained by measuring plate mounted robotic manipulator end effector which was moved along axis each sensor compare them. second experiment, human-sized figurine placed it same positions as test plate. Positions were located 400 mm from other. position, measured relative (repeatability) detected body joints. We compared concluded that surpasses discontinued predecessors, both precision. It suitable for human–robot interaction, body-motion analysis, other gesture-based applications. Our analysis serves pilot study future HMI (human–machine interaction) designs applications using puts successful predecessors.

Evaluating Pointing Accuracy on Kinect V2 Sensor
In this short paper we present an accuracy analysis of the new Kinect V2 depth sensor solely used as a pointing device based on 3D joint positions of the user’s arm. Computation of the pointing vector has been done in two ways. First calculated from elbow and wrist position and then from shoulder and wrist position. Based on the evaluation of Fitts’ Law we have examined the sensor capabilities ...
متن کاملEvaluation of the Spatial Resolution Accuracy of the Face Tracking System for Kinect for Windows V1 and V2
In this paper we present the evaluation results for estimating the area of detection as well as the rotation accuracy of two versions of the face tracking system of the Microsoft Kinect sensor. The tested sensors are the Kinect for Windows V1 and V2 sensors in the use with the respective Software Development Kit. The tests were performed using an artificial head which was moved along a grid. Th...
متن کاملSkeleton Tracking using Kinect Sensor & Displaying in 3D Virtual Scene
Current research on skeleton tracking techniques focus on image processing in conjunction with a video camera constrained by bones and joint movement detection limits. The paper proposed 3D skeleton tracking technique using a depth camera known as a Kinect sensor with the ability to approximate human poses to be captured, reconstructed and displayed 3D skeleton in the virtual scene using OPENNI...
متن کامل3D Skeleton extraction using one Kinect camera
August 12 3D Skeleton extraction using one Kinect camera. 2 Nowadays, it is well established that Computer Vision is used in many applications and devices. One area of huge interest is the detection and reconstruction of the human skeletal structure. In short words, the camera will identify the human parts and construct the joints of the person standing in front of it. So far, scientists have m...
متن کاملSkeletal Tracking using Microsoft Kinect
In this work, we attempt to tackle the problem of skeletal tracking of a human body using the Microsoft Kinect sensor. We use cues from the RGB and depth streams from the sensor to fit a stick skeleton model to the human upper body. A variety of Computer Vision techniques are used with a bottom up approach to estimate the candidate head and upper body postitions using haar-cascade detectorsa an...
